Georgia Fall Preview Team 16 breakdown

We had a full camp on Sunday for the 2018 Georgia Fall Preview. Each team was balanced with talent, size and grade levels. We begin our team by team evaluations today. Meet Team 16.

Kadarius Johnson, 6-3, PG, Southwest Dekalb 2020:  Kadarius Johnson’s play at our Fall Preview was fantastic and it earned him top performers honors. Our staff had plenty to say about him in our top performer's section. Read more    here.

Jacson Lilley, 5-10, SF, Northview 2022: Solid ball skill along with his toughness allowed his coach to run a 3 guard lineup and not sacrifice their ability to rebound. Even when he was at a size disadvantage he did a good job of sticking his nose in the action to get involved. Some confidence in his shot will go a long way as he appeared to have a good looking shot.

Braxton Beaty, 6-2, CG, Lambert High School 2020: A strong down hill step allowed Lambert guard Braxton Beaty to shield defenders off on the way to the rim. Strong shoulders helped him carve out space in traffic on his way to some tough layups.

Kendall Lewis, 6-6, Sf, Shiloh 2019: Our staff has been a fan of Kendall Lewis for some time now and his play at our Preview did not disappoint. This long agile defender has the ability to guard several positions give his athletic ability. In transition, he excelled both as a wing runner and finisher. In the half court, he did a little bit of everything as he has the tools to be a versatile threat. His craftiness allows him to pull off a variety of finishes, adding even more of a dilemma to defenders that have to deal with his length.

Justin Caffey, 6-5, PF, Peachtree Ridge High School 2020: Despite being at a size disadvantage during some matchups, Justin Caffey defended and rebounded well. The offensive glass is where he caused most of his damage as he could carve out his own piece of the paint.

Sam York, 6-4, PF, Northview High School 2020: There’s a little bit of work to be done on the offensive end but that didn’t stop Sam York from getting involved on the defensive end. His strength suited him well as he could body up offensive players that attempted second chance opportunities. His ability to box out others really helped him on the glass.

Jaden Rakestraw, 6-4, F, Woodstock High School 2019: A combo forward that threw his weight around for some key rebounds for his team. Stretching the floor was no issue for him as well as he made the most of his catch and shoot opportunities.

Jordan Johnson, 5-10, PG, Duluth 2020: Players that tried to cheat under ball screens would have to pay the price of letting Jordan Johnson kill them from deep. Multiple 3s from deep was enough to catch our staff’s attention throughout the day. His combo guard skills should help Duluth as they will have another ball handler and playmaker on the floor.
