#Gibbons: Top 15U Performers, Part II

As usual, our 15U division of the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions was loaded with talent. We’ve had a lot of players come to this stage and start their story at the high school level. This year is no different. Here is our second round of top performers from the 2017 tournament.

Love Bettis, CG, Team Evans, 2020: You have to love Bettis’ game. The versatile combo guard can create his own shot on offense and score in bunches when he gets his rhythm. He has a nice pull-up game but can also take it all the way to the rack. Bettis does more than just score however, as he tallied a triple-double on Saturday. Bettis competes on both ends of the floor and is a great leader for Team Evans. - Kyle Sandy

Jaylen Clausell, F, Team Evans, 2020: Jaylen Clausell brought a post presence to balance Team Evans this weekend. At 6-foot-4, Clausell finished well around the basket and was a physical rebounder. He altered shots on defense, giving Team Evans a rim protector. Clausell attends Pine Forest High School in Pensacola where he can carve out a nice career for himself. - Kyle Sandy

Chase Ellis, SF, Atlanta Celtics, 2020: Talk about a big time match-up problem. Ellis is a position-less producer and did a great job of making opposing teams scratch their heads on trying to contain him. He’s a tough rebounder and a no-nonsense scorer in the paint. Ellis is at is best when he is slashing or being a mismatch on either end of the floor. He’s going to be a headache for opposing teams and his motor will always keep him on the floor. - Justin Young

Walker Kessler, C, Atlanta Celtics, 2020: Meet the next high-level big man from the Peach State. The 6-foot-10 rising sophomore had a great freshman year at Landmark Christian and continues to improve and impress on the travel circuit. He’s a pick and pop big man with great length and good feel. Kessler has a nice touch out to the three-point line and plays big as a paint defender. With added strength and continued development, we could be looking at a big-time long-term prospect. Kessler has the tools and DNA for a good career ahead. - Justin Young

Jamaine Mann, SG, Team Showcase, 2020: The 6-foot-4 point forward has really impressed us this spring. He’s a versatile wing that has a good feel for scoring, passing and defending. There are a lot of tools to like with Mann. He’s been one of the 10 best rising sophomores we’ve seen in the Peach State this travel season and we like him even more every time we see. Keep Mann on your watchlist moving forward. - Justin Young

Corey Walker, F, Game Elite Gold, 2020: The first thing I thought of when I was watching Walker was Michael Beasley. Now, Walker doesn’t have the athleticism or constant wow factor that Beasley played well but the youngster has tools that confound the opposition. He’s an inside-outside forward that did a nice job of stepping out as a three-point shooter and an end-to-end scorer in transition. He’s a fun player to watch that plays with a big personality. - Justin Young
