Georgia Elite Preview team evals: Team 4

Our annual Elite Preview took place on Saturday at Kell High School and the camp was filled with talent from the  2018, 2019 and 2020 classes. Our staff of coaches and evaluators collectively broke down each player in recaps. We continue our team by team evaluations from the camp today.

Getting back on the court after missing a good part of the season due to injury, the 6-foot-4 wing showed flashes of why I think he’s a top 10 prospect in Georgia for the class of 2019. He’s an athletic slasher with the physical tools to become an elite defender on the perimeter. High-majors will want to chart him on the travel circuit with Stackhouse Elite. - Justin Young

Cohen is very impressive physically. Has good size and athleticism. While he does some of the obvious like scoring, he does a lot of the little things that will help any team win games. He boxes out, he rebounds, he gets 50/50 balls, he plays with tons of effort. It's no secret why Etowah had success this year with guys like him. - Carter Wilson

Crawford has all the physical tools of a stand out player. He has size, strength, and athleticism that you love to see. Crawford makes his mark as a grinder, playing tough basketball, rebounding relentlessly, and not backing down from any matchup. He has taken steps offensively and will be one to watch as he continues that development. - Carter Wilson

One of the most coachable kids in the camp. He took a leadership role with the team and vocal throughout the event. He’s a good ball-handler and can shoot the lights out. The 5-foot-10 guard saw an opportunity to make an impression on the state’s biggest stage and he took full advantage. Division II schools should place him on their recruit list for this upcoming spring and summer.

Hands down one of the best prospects in the camp. We noted the 6-foot-10 big man as one of the top overall performers. Muhammad is the hottest 2019 player in Georgia right now and will be a wildly watched player this spring and summer. Justifiably so. I'm working on our first go of 2019 player rankings and Muhammad will be placed quite high in the debut. - Justin Young

The Banks County big man is a bouncy forward that played well at the rim level. He has a great touch as a face-up shooter. Added strength will allow him to develop into a more effective rebounder and defender. - Justin Young

Owens plays like anyone would assume a Warner Robins guard would: with motor and with speed. With the ball in his hands, there weren't many players as fast as Owens from end to end. He was fantastic in transition and attacking the rim. He was also a top defensive player. Overall, he raised his stock at Elite Preview and LM's should check him out this spring. - Carter Wilson

Tiny but mighty, says his coach. Scott showed off his touch as a great shooter and high basketball IQ. His coach said he was one of the smartest players in the entire camp. The 5-foot-7 guard played as big as anyone in the camp. - Justin Young

The 2019 guard from Augusta got better each game. He is an excellent drive and pass guard. Williams proved himself as a guy who can go to the paint and kick out at an elite level. Sometimes in a camp setting, it is hard to shine as someone outside of scoring but Williams did as a passer. That showed some maturity to his game. - Justin Young
