#ATLJAM: South FL Elite scraps to 16U Gray title

South Florida Elite used some stifling defense in the second half to claim the 16U Gray championship over Team NLP Elite  by a score of 64-53.

Deante Moore, a scrappy point guard, led the way with 14 points for South Florida Elite.

“We drove 10 hours here and didn't want to take any L’s,” Moore told HoopSeen.com following his championship win. “The first half I focused on defense, and in the second half i let think things come to me and I hit the gaps and made plays.”

Nick Backer added 11 points. For Team NLP, Ikcaven Curry, a breakout player of the event, led with 22 points.
