HoopSeen Tip-Off: Monday Top Performers
Day 1 of the HoopSeen Tip-Off was filled with action from wall-to-wall at Suwanee Sports Academy. Let's take a look at the Top Performers from the day:
2027 Blayne Gunter - White County: Gunter put together probably the most impressive two performances of the day as he averaged 29ppg in White County's 2-0 record, including a LOUD 37-point outburst in the nightcap. Gunter showed an ability to score at all three levels at a very efficient rate. He threw down multiple dunks and knocked down 9 3pt FG's across the 2 games. Look for Gunter as a serious stock-riser from the HoopSeen Tip-Off and a guy to track in the upcoming Live Periods. - Carter Watkins
2027 Dennis Estrella - Discovery: A regular on the HoopSeen circuit, Estrella and his Discovery squad walk out of Monday's games 2-0 in the HoopSeen Tip-Off. In a big win over Lovett, Estrella finished with 10p 4a 3r and showed a lot of the leadership abilities he has shown all spring. He played with a toughness about him that created extra opportunities for his team and showed off his shot-making ability.
2027 Kayle Meeks - Bethlehem Christian: Meeks was the best spot-up shooter in the gym as he hit 60% (9/15) from deep on the day. He moves well off the ball and is able to find open looks in both transition and in the half-court. With an undersized Bethlehem squad, Meeks showed his willingness to defend and crash the boards.
2027 Daniel Gadsden - Lovett: Gadsden was a highlight factory tonight as he finished with 5 dunks en route to a 16p 5r 3s performance in a loss against Discovery. He uses his length to get deflections on the defensive end and finishes with authority in transition. In Game 2, he played limited minutes due to score differential but showed off his rebounding ability and his shot-blocking. Look for Gadsden's name to become popular with college coaches after the upcoming Live Period events.
2027 Josiah Ingram - Hancock Central: The 3x Region POTY came into SSA and showed off the ability that has made him a household name in Middle Georgia. The 6'1" PG scored in a multitude of ways averaging 18ppg throughout the day but he was more impressive on the defensive end. He flies around and anticipates passes well. Continuously puts pressure on the offense and forced multiple turnovers throughout the day. Keep an eye on this underrated guard as he heads into the upcoming Live Periods.
