We are excited to announce the Georgia Cup Summer League! The Spring series is pivoting to a summer schedule and we are doing things a little differently in 2020. Because of several restrictions due to COVID 19, we are adjusting the Georgia Cup Platform.
Georgia Cup games will be played during the week at Suwanee Sports Academy in July and August with the Georgia Cup Finals being held as a standard weekend tournament on August 8-9. Teams will be seeded for the Finals based on their regular season standings. Each age group will have specific nights they play. Venue space is limited this season so we are trying to maximize every chance we can get to accommodate every team from every age group.
A true season champion will be crowned at the end of the year!
Your season schedule will be fixed. You will know when and where you will play your games and who you will play for the season. We will track your team and player stats throughout the season and house that information on HoopSeen.com.
*Please note that each age group has a limited capacity, once an age group fills up it is sold out. Registration is on a first come-first serve basis*
Format & Schedule:
Each team will play a 4 game regular season with 1 or 2 game(s) each week on the same day and time frame.
At the end of the 3 weeks we will have a tournament based on your seeding from the regular season (Each team will play a minimum of 6 games throughout the season)
Postseason: February 1-7
Team coaches can get their coaches bands prior to their first game, at the location of their team's first game. Teams that do not check-in at Suwanee will forfeit the remaining games in the Cup.
Here are the items needed for Team Check-In.
- Birth Certificates for EVERY PLAYER
- Grade Reports for EVERY PLAYER
- Official US Amateur Basketball Roster Sheet (only players on this roster sheet are eligible to play in the event)
Each team will be given up to 3 coaches bands. Coaches who lose their bands MUST PAY.
