Another big domino fell for many programs as one of the highly regarded point guards in the 2019 class is off the board. Kyle Sturdivant ended his recruitment late Thursday night with a commitment to the University of Southern California. 

" I felt like it was the place for me and I loved their style of play. And the relationship with the coaching staff with coach Enfield and coach Capko and coach Mobley. We have a chance to be special."

 Southern Cal beat out the University of Georgia for Sturdivant's services as he cited his leadership as something the Trojans can look forward too. 

" A leader, a selfless player and someone they can trust on and off the court." 

As a staff, we have raved about Sturdivant over the years as a prototypical point guard whos floor was better than some prospects ceilings. Sturdivant gives the Trojans a low-risk guard that can produce at a high level as he values every possession and can make the plays that matter. USC head coach Andy Enfield found an extension of himself as Sturdivant embodies what it means to be a point guard.

Sturdivant adds the ultimate cherry on top for a USC program that had already gained commitments from several prospects of similar stature. His star-studded future teammates should benefit greatly from this ball mover as this commitment gives USC another major piece in a class that includes Max Agbonkpolo, Isaiah Mobley, Onyeka Okungwu, and Drake London.
